"Daisy's" Dam - Alma de Syringa Alma was the daughter of National Versatility Champion Flint Oak Mr. Impressive - a stallion who was known for his strong, powerful yet smooth gait, and for being taller than most Paso Finos at 15 hands. Alma's dam Candelita was a direct daughter of Carlitos and Velera - every one of these horses were very naturally gaited. They introduced many new riders to the Paso Fino breed! Alma stood 14.3 hands and had a beautiful natural upright carriage and grace. She was powerful, yet feminine. Tragically, we lost Alma due to complications following the birth of Daisy, her first foal, when Daisy was less than 24 hours old. But in the few short hours they were together, Alma gave Daisy such a strong beginning and will to live that she is a beautiful vigorous filly. "Daisy's" Sire - Nino del Companero Nino del Companero is a proven sire of excellent Trail and Pleasure horses. He also has offspring who have done well in Endurance Rides in the Pacific Northwest. Nino's foals are known for kind and gentle dispositions, smooth forward-moving gaits, being good-sized Pasos often in the 15-hand range, and being easy to train and work with. Bred by Maridel's mother, Nino's bloodlines trace back to her foundation stallion Carlitos and foundation mare Velera. Photo Courtesy of Hacienda de Los Ninos |
